Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Blue Farm is terrific. It opens with a fragrant and attractive boysenberry bouquet with notes of black cherry-cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, round, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a very tasty black raspberry with notes of oak and nicely integrated flinty minerality. I also detected hints of black pepper, red plum, green olive and a touch of cinnamon. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle acidity drift away nicely. This Pinot would be ideal with the Silver Palate's Chicken Marbella. Cheers - Ken
