Wine Review: This Albarino from Blenheim Vineyards in Virginia is a white gold color with a bronze tinge. This opens with white grapefruit and orange rind bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and round. The flavor profile is a saline and almond blend with notes of chalky minerality and Anjou pear. I also detected some hints of white tea, walnut, and white grapefruit. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for quite some time. I would pair this food friendly Albarino with trout with a garlic lemon butter herb sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: 100% estate grown Albarino. Fermented and aged in stainless steel. Dry, floral, tropical, and very refreshing.
