Wine Review: This dark ruby estate Pinot Noir from Bledsoe McDaniels opens with an inviting ripe strawberry and teaberry bouquet with hints of clove, dried violets, and pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, refined, and expressive. The flavor profile is red licorice and red plum blend with notes of crushed stone and black tea. We also detected some hints of cherry, chocolate, and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors and moderate tannins stick around for a very long time. This youthful Pinot benefits from some aeration, as it releases its flavors and develops structure. The Tasting Panel would then pair it with cedar plank salmon steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
