Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark garnet colored red blend from Bledsoe Family opens with a cedar and black cherry bouquet with hints of dark chocolate, menthol, black licorice, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, approachable and displays nice tension. The flavor profile is red plum and cedar blend with notes of raspberry and salami. We also detected some hints of crushed stone. The finish is dry, and its flavors and its moderate tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this versatile red blend with New York strip steak or with roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: An absolute honor to make a wine named after Mac Bledsoe, Drew's dad. This wine combines three of my favorite varietals for the first time in almost equal parts- Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Syrah. Tons of fresh raspberries and cherries, sandalwood, and hints of espresso. The wine is lush, rich, and is balanced by a great, juicy acidity. The inaugural release of "The Mac" is certain to be legendary, much like the man from its namesake.
