Wine Review: This deep amber colored Maderia from Blandy’s opens with a fig, honey and orange-peel bouquet with hints of hazelnuts, peach and golden raisin. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, with elevated acidity. The flavor profile is hazelnut, Grand Marnier and honey blend with hints of fig, caramel and golden raisin. The finish is dry and its flavors and well-controlled alcohol drift away nicely. The Panel would enjoy this Maderia with a fruit tart or with cheesecake. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Dry, bitter almonds. Lovely balancing acidity and hazelnuts on the finish, which is long and satisfying. Blandy’s 10-year-old Sercial is fined and does not require decanting. Serve as an aperitif but it is also very good with starters like fish and Indian cuisine.
