Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored red blend opens with a ripe blackberry and plum like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, extremely well balanced, elegant, and gorgeous. The flavor profile is a delicious gentle black raspberry with notes of black currant and perfectly integrated mild oak. I also detected a touch of plum and some blueberry. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are well controlled and very sticky. I just loved this wine! It will not be around too long. Everyone will want a second glass. It would be perfect with a dry-aged ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2009 Paramour offers exquisite aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and rich coffee on the nose. Detailed layers of black cherry combine with fine-grained tannin and cedar overlay. The succulent finish is round and balanced, providing persistent length of flavor. Paramour will continue to develop with time in the bottle for the next decade or more. Blackbird's 2009 vintage wines showcase grapes farmed with an ideal hang time, offering wines with bright flavors, balanced sugars, and acidity.
