Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend opens with an appealing blueberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty boysenberry and plum blend with notes of minerality. I also detected hints of faint oak, black licorice and red currant. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate building tannins linger for quite some time. This wine would pair nicely with rubbed baby back ribs. - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2013 Arise exudes aromas of black currant, iris, and nutmeg. With flavors of licorice, cherry and fig, this wine has a richly layered mid palate with soft texture, good density and a long, lingering finish. Aaron Pott describes the 2013 Arise as the best vintage of Arise yet.
