Wine Review: This light-yellow colored Chardonnay from Napa Valley opens with a light lemon zest, faint pineapple and wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced pineapple and gentle oak blend with notes of Asian pear and almond. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This very good Chard would pair well with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Black Stallion Chardonnay opens with aromas of yellow pear, lemon curd, jasmine and hint of oak. The flavors are tantalizing notes of citrus, chamomile, orange blossom and brown butter. The wine has a rich mid-palate weight creating a multi-layered, complex wine and a lingering finish. Sip this wine alongside with goat cheese and dishes such as crab or roast chicken.
