Wine Review: This golden, yellow-colored Chardonnay from Black Kite opens with a pineapple, poached pear, and cantaloupe bouquet with hints of spice and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated gentle acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and delicate. The is quite flavorful, featuring a butterscotch, oak, and pineapple blend with notes of light pear and white pepper. We also detected hints of spice and banana bread pudding. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity build-up and linger for a very long time. (Like a red) The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with big and warm Connecticut toasted lobster roll with lots of butter or crab stuffed sole. Enjoy – KWGTP
