Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pommard clone Pinot Noir from Black Kite is very good. It opens with a gentle wild blueberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of dried herbs and earth tones. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and flavorful. Those flavors are a tasty mild mineral, red cherry and red plum blend with hints of gentle strawberry, white pepper and spice mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors and fine dusty tannins linger and then drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this Pinot a pork loin or Peking duck. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: We've come to expect incredible depth and seamless integration from our Stony Terrace Pinot Noir and the 2018 vintage does not disappoint. This is an exceptionally long and rich wine that announces itself upon opening with intense black fruit, dark chocolate and dried spice aromatics. With time, sweet pipe tobacco and vanilla notes emerge, adding complexity to a palate noted for its mouthfilling weight, polished tannins and lingering finish. Enjoy upon release or cellar for up to 7-10 years.
