Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a gentle strawberry with hints earthy turned soil and mushroom. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, soft and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild crushed stone and raspberry blend with notes of dried herbs, clove and cherry. We also detected hints of oak and truffle mixed in. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. The Panel would pair this Pinot with seared Ahi tuna or mushroom risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Hugged by the gentle curve of the Navarro River, this block's signature exotics seem amplified with the 2018 vintage, making it our favorite River Turn bottling to date. Pretty from the moment it is uncorked, aromas of black cherry, cinnamon and cocoa gain hints of pipe tobacco, vanilla and dried cranberry with time. The palate is dense and long, unfurling in seamlessly integrated layers of dark stone fruit, dark cocoa dust and sweet vanillin spice, with just the right tension to provide a buoyant lift on the finish. Enjoy upon release or cellar for up to 7-10 years.
