Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Black Kite opens with a very fragrant and attractive black raspberry bouquet with hints of strawberry and nutmeg. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is a black raspberry and oak blend with notes of minerality. I also detected hints of blackberry and a touch of black licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity stick around for quite some time. This Pinot would pair well with blackened salmon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark, rich and earthy, our 2016 Soberanes Vineyard Pinot Noir is an incredibly mouth-filling wine, weaving dark fruit and cola with earthy forest floor and mushroom notes. On the palate, the lush flavors gain depth and roundness, lingering with notes of sweet oak on the notably long finish. Enjoy upon release or cellar for 4-6 years.
