Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a strawberry and cherry-vanilla bouquet with hints of forest floor. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, and balanced. The flavor profile is a caramel and kirsch blend with notes of oak and a hint of chocolate. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins show nice length. Out mini-tasting group suggested pairing this Pinot with pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: As always, the aromatics of our 2016 Redwoods' Edge Pinot Noir don't disappoint, but the real surprise here is the mouthfeel, which is the richest ever from this block. Wafting notes of violet, rose potpourri and red-berry lead to deeper flavors of black cherry and sweet oak on the palate, where depth and roundness meet their match in food-friendly acidity and elegant length. Decant before serving upon release or cellar for 8-12 years.
