Wine Review: This light gold colored Gruner Vetliner from Pratsch is very nice. It opens with a fragrant and appealing ginger and wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and fresh. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused ginger and green apple with notes of honey and white pepper. The finish is very dry and its acidity and flavors stick around for quite some time. This Gruner is very refreshing and would make for a very nice option on a hot summer day. I would serve it with oysters on the half shell. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This certified organic wine exudes aromas of spicy white pepper, with apples, peaches, apricots, and a touch of grass. This wine is bright and crisp with lemon, lime, stone fruit, and spicy white pepper.
