Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Malbec opens with a black raspberry and oak bouquet with hints of black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused stewed black plum with notes of boysenberry and oak. I also detected hints of blackberries and a touch of stone dust in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and mild tannins and flavors drift away nicely. This Malbec would be a perfect match for a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense red color with attractive purple hues. On the nose, its freshness and vivacity are immediately evidenced, to then give way to notes of fresh red fruits, such as blackberries and currants, as well as floral hints of violets. Spices and mineral notes can also be perceived, exquisitely balanced with subtle notes of chocolate and vanilla brought about by its French Oak aging. In the mouth, there is a fresh and vibrant sensation, followed by a broad palate and sweet tannins. This is a harmoniously complex and structured wine, with a lingering finish and a substantial aging potential.
