Wine Review: This deep purple colored blend opens with a boysenberry and fig bouquet with hints of prune. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. It is also very smooth, refined, balanced and fresh. The flavor profile is black currant and graphite blend with notes of cedar and prune. We also detected hints of green tea and cinnamon. The finish is dry and its fine tannins drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this red blend with beef carpaccio. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Gran Corte has an intense red color with attractive purple hues. Aromas of red fruit and flowers are prominent, as well as spices and fresh herbs. Ripe black fruits are also present, in combination with subtle notes of chocolate and vanilla from a year in French oak. This is a complex wine, with great structure, gentle tannins, and good acidic balance. Serve at room temperature with red meat dishes and game.
