Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Beringer opens with a black raspberry and black currant bouquet with hints of wet stone, oak, and moist pipe tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with moderate acidity. The mouthfeel is elegant, smooth, polished, and very well-balanced. The flavor profile is a concentrated blend of black currant, black raspberry and fine stony minerality along with notes of oolong tea. We also detected hints of black cherry and milk chocolate mixed in. The finish is dry, and its refined moderate dusty tannins are very extended. The Tasting Panel just sip this terrific Cab as their first choice. With food, we would pair it with chateaubriand. Enjoy – KWGTP
