Wine Review: This medium colored Merlot opens with a subtle black cherry and dark chocolate bouquet with hints of blueberry and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round, delicate, and well-balanced. The flavor profile is a concentrated blackberry and plum blend with notes of stony minerality and black pepper. We also detected hints of mocha and bay leaf. The finish is dry and its dusty and grippy tannins linger and last for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Merlot with a beef brisket or with duck confit. Enjoy – KWGTP
