Wine Review: This dark yellow colored Chardonnay from Beringer is very good. It opens with a musty oak and pineapple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and delicate. The flavor profile is a tasty green apple and quince blend with notes of new oak. I also detected a touch of ginger. The finish is dry and its flavors sail away nicely. This Chard is very food friendly and would pair very nicely with lobster with drawn butter. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Chardonnay is fresh, vibrant, and well-balanced with medium weight trending to richness. There are classic California Chardonnay notes of lemon confit, creme brulee, with aromas and flavors of tropical fruit such as pineapple, mango and tangerine. A light touch of oak leads to a pleasing, lingering finish.
