Wine Review: This pitch-black colored "Reserve" level Cabernet Sauvignon from Beringer was very well received by the Tasting Panel. It opens with an attractive black cherry bouquet with hints of cedar and boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and juicy with medium acidity. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black currant and black olive blend with notes of oak, black tea and black cherry. The finish is dry and its flavors and supple tannins drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this impressive Old World styled Cab with a filet mignon at your favorite steakhouse. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Rich, full-bodied and deeply rewarding, this vintage expression is one for the ages (and aging). Notes of crème de cassis, black and blue fruits and baking spices frame flavors of ripe plum, dark cherry and chocolate in a muscular yet exceedingly well balanced and elegant wine. A memorable, lingering finish continues to reveal multiple layers of complexity to be enjoyed over the next two decades.
