Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Benovia opens with a beautiful cherry and blueberry bouquet with hints of eucalyptus and earthy mushroom. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is spiced black plum and ripe red raspberry blend with hints of cinnamon, cola, oak, black tea. The finish is dry and drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this Pinot with pan-seared duck breast, mushroom risotto, or sausage stuffed mushrooms. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2018 vintage Russian River Valley Pinot Noir displays intense fruit and spice aromas and layered texture. Aromas are dominated by red fruits of plum and vine-ripened raspberry, while black fruits dominate on the palate. The vibrant aromas expand and give way to red plum, toasted brioche and allspice. On the palate the wine has integrated acidity and fine tannins that should allow for mid-term cellaring. As always, the wine was bottled without fining or filtration.
