Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Benovia is very good and will be a crowd pleaser. It opens with a fragrant and appealing boysenberry and mild red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and elegant. The flavor profile is a tasty black plum with notes of mild minerality and cherry-vanilla. I also detected hints of black raspberry and faint oak in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle acidity drift away nicely. This Pinot would ideally pair with fresh smoked salmon pinwheels. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep violet in color, this alluring and hedonistic wine has amazing extract and purity of fruit focus. Vibrant fruit aromas of wild strawberry and raspberry souffle harmonize with sassafras, forest floor and East-Indian spice notes.
