Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chard opens with a very attractive light oak, pear, and spice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and appealing. As a matter of fact, it did not last very long as tasters quickly went for seconds. The flavor profile was a slightly tangy green apple with a touch of minerals, tangerine, and delicate oak in the background. The finish is dry and rather pleasant. This paired quite well with my creamed corn soup. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Tropical aromas of strawberry, papaya, and ripe pineapple are accentuated by sweet oak and mineral notes. Intense and concentrated, this single vineyard Chardonnay has vibrant flavors, exceptional length and bright natural acidity. Indigenous yeast fermentation in French oak barrels and extended aging of 16 months on lees has produced a wine with exceptional complexity.
