Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored wine opens with a fragrant black currant and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is red currant with notes of black licorice and old oak. I also detected some hints of plum. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are slightly prolonged. This Cab would pair well with a bacon mushroom burgers of the grill. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful deep red color with perfumed aromas of ripe black cherries, strawberries and roasted cocoa beans. This wine is full-bodied and incredibly lush for a young Cabernet. It explodes on the palate with red and black fruits, then shows baking spices on its way to a mouthwatering finish. Pairs with a wide range of foods including beef, sausages, spiced or grilled pork, veal, rabbit, medium-strong cheeses, and meat-based pasta sauces.
