Wine Review: This pitch black colored Pinot Noir opens with faint black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, dense and rich for Pinot. The flavor profile is a stewed plum and black licorice blend with hints of menthol and black cherry. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors show nice length. This is a big boy Pinot that will be well-liked by Shiraz fans. I would pair this Pinot with roast duck. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet in color with an aromatic medley of black cherry, marionberry, ripe plum and a hint of anise. Dark fruit on the palate with flavors of wild berries, caramelized oak and cacao nibs complemented by subtle notes of vanilla, cedar and a hint of lavender and forest floor. Rich and unrestrained, this wine’s abundant fruit is beautifully balanced by firm acidity and layers of red and black fruit.
