Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford is terrific! It opens with black currant, old leather glove and pencil lead bouquet with hints of pine resin. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round, smooth, and very well-balanced. The flavor profile is very tasty black currant and graphite blend with notes of oak, oolong tea, and anise. We also detected hints of blueberry and dark chocolate mixed in. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. The Panel would pair this rich Cab with a well-marbled ribeye steak or with prime rib. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Approachable yet cellar-worthy, this debut vintage leads with a luscious cherry-floral perfume, with soft espresso and spice undertones. The palate is generous and loaded with velvety tannins, red cherry, and berry flavors, along with hints of cocoa and raspberry preserves, along with the dusty-earth accents that are hallmarks of the Rutherford Bench.
