Wine Review: The very dark ruby colored Zin opens with a fragrant spicy black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and has a smooth texture. The flavor profile is a very spicy black cherry with hints of blackberry and black licorice. The finish is dry and its well managed tingly tannins linger for quite sometime. This wine would pair nicely with barbecue short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Lily Hill Zinfandel is the ultimate expression of a Dry Creek classic. The 2007 wines have excellent concentration with full but soft tannins, and the vintage perfectly balances power and finesse. The Lily Hill shows notes of violet, dark cherry, & bright raspberry fill the palate and carry through the finish.
