Wine Review: This red blend from BV is slightly opaque and dark ruby colored. It opens with a mild black raspberry bouquet with a hint of menthol and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile was a tasty spicy black cherry with hints black pepper and black raspberry. The finish is dry and nicely pronged with moderate tannins. Our entire table really enjoyed it with our steaks at dinner. So we ordered another bottle. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve Tapestry weaves five classic Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec—into an elegant, beautifully balanced wine. The Reserve Tapestry laces blueberry and Bing cherry through the rich core of blackberry and dark currant, accented by cocoa and toast. In the mouth, the ripe fruit fans out, reaching all points of the palate, and then delves into a long, persistent finish.
