Wine Review: This light straw-colored Chardonnay opens with a fragrant pineapple and toasted oak bouquet with a hint of red apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a candied lemon with notes of minerality and oak. I also detected hint of chamomile tea, white pepper and Anjou pear. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors drift away nicely. This Chard would pair nicely with a roasted garlic clove chicken. Winemaker Notes: This full bodied, rich Chardonnay offers a powerful citrus and steely backbone. Classic toasty and butterscotch-like characteristics merge with mineral undertones. A good balance of oak is followed with abundant fruit.
