Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa was a top 5 hit with Tasting Panel in our first Big Blind tasting. It opens with a fragrant and pleasant white grapefruit bouquet with a hint of fresh cut grass and lemon zest. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty grapefruit with notes of lemon. We also picked up hints of tangerine, white peach and Honeydew melon. The finish is dry, refreshing and lingers nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this very good value Sauvignon Blanc with grilled swordfish or halibut with asparagus risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
