Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay from South Africa was one of our top selections in our recent big blind tasting. It opens with an inviting lemon butter bouquet with hints of light oak and floral notes. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty apple and citrus blend with integrated light oak. We also detected some hints of butter rum as well. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. The panel suggested pairing this very nice Chard with clams casino. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This graceful Chardonnay displays a bouquet of apricot blossom and lemon with a delicate vanilla nuance. The vibrant yet soft and refined palate exhibits crisp apple, honeysuckle and ripe pear character, interlaced with chalky acidity and hints of toasted hazelnut.
