Wine Review: This dark red colored wine from Barone Ricasoli is impressive. It opens with an appealing mild cherry and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, refined and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild cherry and gentle herbal tea with notes of fine minerality. I also detected hints of blueberry, bacon and faint cedar towards the end. The finish is dry and its well-managed moderate tannins have nice length. This wine is peaking now and I would enjoy it with a filet mignon at your favorite steakhouse. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red color with aromas of red fruit and plum along with hints of balsam and vanilla. Firm but elegant with sweet tannins, balanced acidity, and a persistence in the finish.
