Wine Review: This ruby colored Chianti Classico opens with an attractive mild oak and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced and approachable. The flavor profile is a spicy black currant with oak influences throughout. There were also hints of black raspberry and black cherry in the background as well. The finish is dry and its dusty mild oak tannins are slightly prolonged. This wine was built for food and would be a prefect complement to veal marsala. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby-red. Rich bouquet with notes of cherries, plums, and iris. Deep cherry and leather flavors with subtle wood notes. Supple tannins, good acidity, and a lingering finish. Perfect with flavorful roasts, pastas, and cheeses.
