Wine Review: This pale straw colored Gavi opens with a fruity bouquet that includes pineapple, cantaloupe, light tangerine and floral notes. It is light bodied, fruity, dry and easy going. The flavor profile features grapefruit, green apple, light pear and lemon. The acidity is robust with some additional lemon flavors carrying through to its dry finish. This wine made from the Cortese grape would be a delightful summer sipper served slightly chilled on your patio or deck. I would pair this pleasant Gavi with a chilled summer pasta salad. – Joe
Winemaker Notes: This pale-straw colored Gavi opens with an intense bouquet with fresh aromas of pineapple and green apple. On the palate, it is well-balanced, with gentle acidity and a delicate dry finish. This wine can serve as an aperitif. It pairs very well with hors d'oeuvres and seafood.
