Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored red blend opens with a mild black cherry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and approachable. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry with notes of oak. I also detected hints of black olive. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are sticky and linger for an extended period of time. This food friendly Tuscan red would pair well with veal chop. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Ruby red, intense, and very deep. Complex, with notes of blackberries, plum jam, cherries, with aromas of licorice, black olives, and pipe tobacco. Full bodied, dense tannins, round, and soft. Can benefit from moderate aging, but already very enjoyable upon release. Perfect with bean soups, grilled meat and aged cheese.
