Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored wine opens with a fragrant ripe boysenberry and vanilla oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a black cherry and black currant blend with nicely integrated old oak. I also detected a hint of black olive and anise towards the end. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins build up and linger for a long while after the wine is gone. This wine would pair perfectly with a cowboy ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Ruby red, intense and very deep. Bouquet: Full bouquet, with aromas of blackberries and plums, complemented by licorice, black olives, and pipe-tobacco notes. Taste: Full-bodied, with supple tannins. Perfect with bean soups, grilled meat and aged cheese.
