Wine Review: This very dark purple colored wine opens with a very fragrant ripe boysenberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of dark chocolate and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, rich, and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild blackberry with notes of cherry vanilla and some old oak. The finish is very dry with dusty tannins. It also has some tingly residual acidity that lingers for a while. A couple of tasters also detected a hint of heat. The group thought this wine was ready to go right now and it paired well with our smoked pork belly with a thyme and miso glaze. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bacio Divino is a deep ruby color with complex and layered blackberry and current fruit. The Sangiovese adds red fruit nuances to the blend, and the Petit Sirah provides a firm structural backbone and fresh bright acidity. Bacio Divino is balanced, precocious in its youth, generous in flavor and aroma, yet retains an elegance not always found in California wines.
