Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Au Bon Climat opens with a pineapple, white peach, and gentle oak bouquet with hints of dried coconut and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and fresh for a Chard. The flavor profile is a green apple and pineapple blend with notes of baked pear, oak, and green melon. We also detected some hints of lemon verbena and toasted almonds. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are refreshing and linger for a while. The Tasting Panel would give this Chard a little aeration as it is still quite young. Then we would pair it with a toasted and buttered lobster roll. Enjoy - KWGTP
