Wine Review: This bright red cherry colored Pinot Noir from Au Bon Climat opens with a strawberry bubble gum and maraschino cherry bouquet with hints of red plum and allspice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is red currant and licorice blend with notes of rosemary and strawberry. We also detected hints of kitchen spice, teaberry, cranberry and cedar. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would serve this Pinot with toasted coconut shrimp, grilled pork tenderloin with a cherry reduction sauce or with mushroom risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
