Wine Review: This medium garnet colored Pinot Noir from Au Bon Climat opens with a cinnamon and strawberry bouquet with hints of Bing cherry, tarragon, and sea mist. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with moderate acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and gentle. The flavor profile is a red raspberry and dried herbs blend with notes of green tea, black cherry, and strawberry jam. We also detected hints of oak and red currant. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with a braised rabbit or with crispy duck. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Lots of ripe berry fruits, new leather, dried herbs, and some earthy nuances in this chiseled, focused Pinot Noir. Medium- to full-bodied with lots of structure and length, this is a terrific, complex, savory Pinot Noir that will unquestionably keep for over a decade.
