Wine Review: This translucent and dark red colored Pinot Noir from Oregon is on the earthy and Old-World style. It opens with a stone dust, red cherry, and cola bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is a cola and light red cherry blend with notes of crushed stone. I also detected hints of cinnamon, strawberry, and herbal tea. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins drift away nicely. This Pinot would pair nicely with Italian Braciole. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our second Oregon Pinot in the series is sourced from the highly regarded, estate vineyard of Lingua Franca in the Eola-Amity Hills of Willamette Valley. This is a dark and supple Pinot, with perfumed aromas and flavors of ripe red and dark fruits enhanced by notes of star anise and exotic spices. It deftly plays richness off elegance. The wine is imminently drinkable, but will continue to age.
