Wine Review: This medium yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a mild pineapple and pear bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, round and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a tasty Anjou pear and gentle oak blend with hints of vanilla. There are hints of nutmeg, pie crust and golden delicious apple in the background. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This Chard would pair nicely with pan-seared trout in butter. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The flavor profile for this well-structured Chardonnay is in the subtle pear and apple realm with accents of lavender and anise from the time in barrel. The citrusy notes of lemon and orange will evolve into more of a mineral and saline quality. Over time, additional flavors and aromas will emerge as the wine expands. As a young Chardonnay, this wine pairs well with any fish, salmon to trout. With age the wine matches will increase to dishes with mushrooms and game birds.
