Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Au Bon Climat opens with an attractive blueberry and ripe black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The flavor profile is a loam and black raspberry blend with notes of stony minerality, triple sec, and cedar. We also detected hints of black cherry, licorice, and sage mixed in. The finish is dry, and its flavors and its dusty tannins linger and last for quite some time. This Pinot would pair well with a beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A stunning, deeply colored Pinot with incredible complexity and depth that is classic Santa Maria Valley. The wine has a core of red and black berries and offers loads of spice with touches of dried rose petals, licorice, cola, and sagebrush.
