Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir was a hit with the Tasting Panel! The Panel noted that the wine evolved in the glass with just a little bit of swirling. It opens with a Maraschino cherry and blueberry bouquet with hint of oak and juniper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and juicy with moderate acidity. The flavor profile is a tasty red raspberry and cherry-cola blend with notes of minerality. We also detected hints of cinnamon, black tea and caramel. The finish is dry with gentle tannins and has nice length for a Pinot. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with duck confit. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Knox is a blend of our two "Estate" vineyards, Bien Nacido and Le Bon Climat. The 2016 Knox Alexander is silky and perfumed. It is a well-structured wine that offers Griotte cherry and cranberry fruit with sage and mint notes, all fused together in this super-expressive Pinot. The wine is named after Jim Clendenen's son.
