Wine Review: This light red colored Pinot Noir from Au Bon Climat opens with a very fragrant strawberry bouquet with hints of lavender and rose. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, soft and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty pomegranate and graphite blend with nicely integrated oak. We also detected hints of black pepper and stewed plum mixed it. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for a very long time. Our mini-tasting group thought this Pinot would pair well with Thanksgiving dinner. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Part of our elite "Blue Series", Isabelle is comprised of only the best cuvees each vintage. Consequently, it is consistently our top performing Pinot Noir year to year. Dark, rich, and layered, this regal wine is remarkable now, but will be even more integrated and complex in time.
