Wine Review: This white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc from Italy opens with a very fragrant gooseberry bouquet with hints of grapefruit rind and lime. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a passionfruit and mild gooseberry blend with notes of basil and nectarine pit. I also detected some hints of stony minerality and lime zest. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. This Italian Sauvignon Blanc would complement many dishes. It would pair particularly well with a baked caprese crostini. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Straw yellow in color, with green highlights, the Attems Sauvignon has captivating aromas of boxwood, lily of the valley and pomelo. The fresh sensations on the nose are also found in each sip. Combined with its light body, the mineral notes in this wine and the finish of wisteria and bergamot are particularly explosive.
