Wine Review: This dark yellow colored Chardonnay from Carneros is very good. It opens with a pineapple and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, viscous and rich. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pear with notes of pineapple and Meyer lemon. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This is a classic oaky California Chardonnay. Those that like this style will like this wine. I would pair it with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: We make wine from each block which becomes the components for creating the final blend. When combined, each component offers specific aroma and flavor characteristics that develop the distinct style. The wine shows fantastic aromatic intricacy and subtle notes of nectarine, vanilla and honeycomb. On the palate, the wine displays a well-balanced mouthfeel with lingering flavors of white peach and Meyer lemon characterizing this beautiful corner of Carneros.
