Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Sangiovese opens with a black cherry and cedar bouquet with a hint of ash and red licorice. On the palate, this wine medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and juicy. The flavor profile is similar to the nose. It features a black cherry and cedar blend with notes red licorice, black pepper, and minerality. I also detected a hint of oolong tea in the aftertaste. The finish is rather dry and its flavors, acidity and dusty bold tannins build-up and last for a long time. I would pair this wine with the grilled wild boar tenderloin from Jiko at Disney's Animal Kingdom lodge. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine is bright ruby, with an almost saline aroma accompanied by strong notes of cherry, with a subtle spiciness. Energetic on the palate with good acidity and balanced, integrated tannins.
