Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a moist pipe tobacco and red currant bouquet with hints of blueberry, black olive. and triple sec. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. It is round, juicy and a bit mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a graphite and black plum blend with notes of cedar plank and red currant. We also detected hints of oregano, tea, and smoked meats. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins build-up and last for a very long time. The Panel thought this bold wine would benefit from cellaring. In the near term, we would decant this wine and serve it with Roy’s rib roast with Yorkshire pudding. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Great impact on the nose, blackberry fruit, spices, well integrated wood, chocolate, and coffee. Soft and round palate with an excellent acid boost. Firm but soft tannins. Powerful and explosive it embodies all the energy of the hot vintage while maintaining a surprising freshness.
