Wine Review: This deep pink colored Dry Rosé of Cabernet Franc from the Finger Lakes in New York opens with a maraschino cherry and tangerine bouquet with hints of watermelon and lime zest. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, very smooth and fresh. The flavor profile is maraschino cherry, white tea, and saline blend with notes of chalky minerality and lime zest. We also detected hints of watermelon, ruby grapefruit, and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. We would pair this easy drinking Rosé with a Niçoise salad or with crispy grilled shrimp tacos with a spicy Mexican aioli with guacamole, citrus slaw, pico, and crema. Enjoy - Ken and Mark

Winemaker Notes: This Rosé is equal parts generous and serious. Aromas of pomegranate, raspberry, and tomato jump out immediately, and lead to a densely structured midpalate - dare we say slightly tannic? - that is enrobed with generous berry and grapefruit flavors. A burst of apricot leads to a long finish that could be called mineral, but we would also (positively!) call slightly bitter. These contrasts make for a wine that is excellent with food or on its own; it keeps drawing you back for more.
